Cisco Certified Network Professional Service Provider (CCNP Service Provider)

The CCNP Service Provider certification validates the knowledge and skills network professionals are required to have in order to deliver a scalable carrier-grade infrastructure capable of rapid expansion to support ongoing introduction of new managed services and other customer requirements.

Prerequisites

The following will act as a prerequisite:

  • Valid CCNA Service Provider, or
  • Valid CCNA (R&S) plus have passed minimum of 1 CCIP exam (QOS, BGP, MPLS, BGP+MPLS, ROUTE, BSCI), or
  • Valid CCIP, or
  • Any CCIE certification

NOTE: If you currently have a valid CCIP certification or in the process of pursuing a CCIP certification and would like to instead pursue a CCNP Service Provider certification, visit the CCIP-CCNP Service Provider Migration Tool. The CCIP-CCNP Service Provider Migration Tool will assist in identifying the exams you will need to pass to earn a CCNP Service Provider certification.

Recertification

Cisco professional-level certifications are valid for three years.

To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:

  • Pass any current 642-XXX Professional level exam, or
  • Pass any current CCIE Written Exam, or
  • Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
  • Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications.

Achieving or recertifying any of the certifications above automatically extends your active Associate and Professional level certification(s) up to the point of expiration of the last certification achieved.
