After completing this course the student should be able to:
- Describe which IP parameters are needed for a successful voice call
- List the most common components in a VoIP network
- Describe the network requirements for a unified communications network
- Describe the H.323/SIP/MGCP signaling flows for call setup
- Describe the necessary Quality of Service implementations for achieving good quality voice calls
Course Content
The Voice over IP Fundamentals course provides an introduction to the concepts of VoIP. This workshop prepares engineers for a career in the Unified Communications industry and covers the base technologies currently used for the transport of multimedia sessions (such as voice calls). The information presented in this workshop allows the attendees to acquire the necessary skills to start pursuing the Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP) certification track.
